Magnus is a Professor of Anthropology at Cornell University specializing in Child Refugees in China with deep interests in indigenous rights and representation. He is the current faculty advisor of the Cornell University chapter.

Eunice is a History of Science and concentrator at Harvard aspiring to become an OBY-GYN physician and historian of medicine. Her research interests lie in postpartum psychiatry, and she serves as the Chair of the Coalition on Faith and Public Service on campus. She joined We Kids out of the hope to empower mothers in Haiti. She believes in the lasting power of spiritual healing and wishes to contribute her administrative experiences and heart for women's health to help We Kids and its initiatives thrive.

Ariel is a human biology major at Berkeley with a deep passion for neuroscience and physiology and loves exploring the complexities of the human brain and spine. Beyond academics, she mainly volunteers in underserved communities of Berkeley by making and distributing care packages. These experiences have shaped her ultimate goal of becoming a compassionate surgeon.

Patrick Ting

Patrick is an Electrical Engineer at Hopkins. He has extensive research experiences involving his seven publications in the fields of cancer biology, neuroscience and hospital systems. He currently works at the Kim lab and also owns and operates a pharmaceutical delivery nonprofit. Patrick wishes to use his business acumen to strategize growth and provide opportunities for Haitian youth to pursue their passions without the burden of scarcity.

Since 2012, Dr. Jones Britus has been the founding director of the non-profit organization "Alliance Haitienne" for development and particularly for empowering orphans, vulnerable children, and the young without family support. He is also a university professor and wishes to serve We Kids and its children in God's name.

Nahyun Koh is 2nd year MD candidate at Seoul National University. She is the Vice President of MD Winners 15th class and also acts as a student ambassador to SNU. In her free-time she spends her time volunteering, conducting clinical research, and also playing for Da Capo as a piano accompanist. She wishes to become a prolific surgeon one day.

I plan to major in CS but stay on the pre-med track. I am passionate about equitable access to healthcare among marginalized communities.

Beyond running a mental health and nonprofit, he is an avid science outreach educator and conducts research in the BABY Lab focusing on the neural underpinnings of development. He teaches graduate level classes regarding the Anthropology of Children and has experience working with regions of mass genocide in China. He is the current faculty advisor of the Cornell chapter and provides guidance to all nonprofit members.

She has competed and won a competitive marketing competition sponsored by Mirae Asset Securities and did an internship there in a digital marketing team. Her passion for addressing global economic inequality led her to join We Kids United.

I have a passion for molecular pathology and hope to obtain an MD-PHD degree in this field. Some of my hobbies include dancing ballet, jazz, and salsa, running, writing poetry, and gardening.


Coming from Thailand, a developing country where the issues of poverty and healthcare inequity still remain prevalent, I have always seen a large potential in the field of medicine and healthcare innovation. Thus, I was excited to learn that WeKids was tackling this exact issue in Haiti. In my future career as a Thai doctor, I am eager to use the knowledge I gain from WeKids to create change in Thailand’s healthcare landscape.


We Kids United aligns perfectly with my passion for community service and building connections. My high school involvement with the International Service Club, which partnered with Bridges to Community, allowed me to contribute to poverty alleviation in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic and discover a love for international service. I participated in home-building projects for members of a small rural community free of cost, and helped initiate an environmental program to reduce fire hazards from trash burning.


Serena is an undergrad at Cornell University following the pre-med track as a Food Science major. She joined We Kids with a desire to serve others by focusing on healthcare equity and women’s health. Serena is looking forward to making an impact through community involvement with We Kids.

Brooke is an undergraduate student at Cornell University majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre-med track. She aspires to become a pediatric physician and pursue life-changing medical research, specifically related to biological development and behavior, a continuation of her prior research endeavors in neuroscience. We Kids serves as a platform for her to advocate and impact healthcare disparities on a global scale in Haiti and make a tangible impact on underserved youth populations.


Rayvaughn (Ray) is junior Biological Sciences major and future aspiring pediatrician. Ray is Jamaica born and is an active member of both the Caribbean Student Association as well as the Haitian Student Association. Ray is also the chair of the Caribbean Student Association at the Organization. He wishes to provide a positive influence on global negritude as well as We Kids' mission in Haiti.

I want to join WeKids to gain professional experience in the healthcare industry through global outreach. I also want to be a part of a community that wants to create better access to healthcare for communities that either don’t have access or can’t afford it. I want to help make healthcare accessible for everyone and learn more about global medicine through WeKids.


We the Kids stands out to me as it focuses on healthcare problems from a different light. It is just not only a club but a non profit organization, which offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in a severely underrepresented community in Haiti.


Lysette Fassinou
As someone who was born in a small village in West Africa that did not have access to basic healthcare, I am far too familiar with the struggles faced by some of the communities in our world today. I grew up hearing stories about people dying from easily treatable illnesses simply due to a lack of access to adequate healthcare and knew I wanted to do something about it. I am so grateful to be where I am today and one day hope to use my education to go back and help the people in my village. I want to join WeKids because I believe it will give me more insight into how to get adequate healthcare to disadvantaged communities.

I want to join WeKids to provide essential aid to individuals in need, particularly young girls and women, by supplying feminine products and critical health equipment. I am also committed to enhancing maternal health support, ensuring safe prenatal and postpartum care amid the ongoing crises in Haiti. Chris is a sophomore majoring in neuroscience and public health at Johns Hopkins. His ultimate goal is to become a missionary doctor, mending the illnesses of those less fortunate than us, while spreading the gospel. Upon hearing about wekids, he became inclined to join the team, wanting to play a role in their mission. Having seen areas similar to that of Haiti, he has developed a passion to support those in need, particularly those suffering from an absence of a strong medical presence.

Ethan Chang is a driven second-year student at Johns Hopkins interested in medical imaging, medical device development, and the applications of machine learning to healthcare. As part of his biomedical engineering team, he focuses his efforts currently to developing a handheld device to quantitatively measure tissue mechanics to detect melanoma.
