Our Mission

Provision of Advanced Medical Training Networks for Haitian Physicians

Unlike the U.S that has an approximate 1:1 MD graduate to residency program ratio, Haiti is not as fortunate when it comes to access to specialty training. Lack of specialization and training renders the most qualified physicians to be bewildered in emergencies, especially that of a country where natural disasters abound and infrastructure poor.

We aim to elevate Haiti's diagnostic prowess through the supplication of Point of Care Ultrasound devices concomitant with a full advanced training program lead by a cohort of student and physician volunteers.

The organization also aims to contribute to the prevalence of EMR device usage in Haitian hospitals as an attempt to improve the interoperability and transferability of medical data between different clinic to hospital networks. The improved interconnectedness of Haitian hospitals would contribute to the centralization of health data and overall medical communication.

Ultimately, we aim to raise the digital capital of Haitian citizens, particularly those of mothers and children, focusing on postpartum women and pediatric health. We wish offer them consistent access to medical care through telemedicine services connecting domestic Haitian physicians remotely to Haitian patients from hospital to home, office to home, or even home to home. This would help bypass difficulties Haitian citizens experience in accessing health amidst gang violence and siege warfare.

Fundraising Revolutionized

Perhaps the great folly of traditional medical nonprofits is their over-reliance on external funding. We Kids is unique among its peer startup nonprofits with its sheer fundraising capacity.

We fundraise not just through private donors but through entertainment and community engagement services. In other words, we raise funds while providing entertainment to the community and spreading the word on Haiti.

We Kids is equipped with 12 university chapters each housing 20 students responsible for planning, executing, and co-hosting large scale events including performances, gaming tourneys, and other recreational activities enjoyed by all.

Another significant aspect of our operations is that we are a 100% volunteer-based company. This means 100% of our private donations, public endorsements, sponsorships, and of course, self-sufficient fundraiser capital goes to serving Haiti.

Provision of Creative Engineering Solutions: Institution Funded

1) Civil Engineering: Lack of access to potable water in Haiti is a large source of cholera and other water borne pathogenic epidemics. Accessibility issues to water and electricity is another reason why nonprofit hosted hospitals cannot stay in operation. Our Civil Engineering division is devoted to water purification systems in Haiti. Collaboration with local nonprofits in Haiti is pivotal in making this a true Haitian funded project.

2) Food Science Team: The food science engineering team at Cornell University, titling themselves as "Food Ball Inc," has begun to produce meal replacement nutrient masses that could be helpful for hunger relief in Haiti, augmenting existing local and international efforts such as the World Food Programme. The food science labs utilize 100% Haiti produced coffee beans and cacao powder to further stimulate Haitian agricultural output and exports.

3) Biomedical Engineering Team: Creating treatment devices for acute respiratory diseases in Haiti. Project ideas and bioengineering solutions are always welcome.

We wish to partner with local NGO's, universities, and existing nonprofits to bolster the community engagement in enhancing medical care in Haiti. We wish to provide what we can for Haiti to fight its battle. Dr. Jean (Bill) Pape has been working for Haiti for so  long to turn it all around-- His dedication to Haiti truly inspired us into giving what we can to make it all happen.
